General Information
Every effort was made at the time this information was prepared to ensure accuracy. We try to update the product and price listings on the web site in a timely manner. If you order an item via the web, and the price has changed, we will use the lower price if at all possible. We cannot be responsible, however, for price changes that take effect after uploading, for factory and/or supplier shortages, or typographical errors. If there is a price discrepancy of such magnitude that we cannot ignore, we will contact you before filling the order and charging your card.
We urge you to check on current prices as often as you like. Use the product code numbers so that you can do so quickly and easily. When you call, or visit the store, have the code numbers available.
One of the main reasons we have posted a Willner Chemists Web site is so that you can check current prices, quickly and easily. Also, the web site will let you know what is on sale at any given time.
Finish your Order
Be sure to click on the "Submit" button after previewing (and printing) your order. If you do not click on "Submit", the order will not be processed. You should receive an email acknowledgement of your order within two working days.
Back Orders
If we are out of stock on certain items in your order, we will backorder that item if it cannot be obtained within 3 days, and ship the rest of your order. When the missing item arrives, we will send it to you, with no shipping charge. Your credit card will not be charged for items not sent.
During a sale, however, we cannot automatically "back order" items. If any of the items in your order are temporarily out of stock, we will hold your entire order for up to three (3) days, awaiting arrival of the missing item(s). If the missing items do not arrive in 3 days, your order will be shipped as is; the missing items will not be backordered. You may re-order the missing items if you choose.
If you do not want us to hold your order for up to three days, let us know at the time of order, and we will do our best to accommodate you.
Sale prices and product availability is based upon information provided to us by the various manufacturers and suppliers. Sometimes they misjudge demand, and cannot provide us with product. We cannot be held responsible for such shortages.
Products covered by a sale are limited to those listed in our sale flier unless otherwise indicated. We will try to accommodate your requests for other items, if they are available, whenever possible.
On Sale?
Willner Chemists offers almost every product listed at an every-day discount of 20% off list price.
In addition we run 8 special sales yearly. Four times a year, a sale bulletin is mailed to our customers and those who have requested it. The sale bulletin lists the items featured during that sale period, often at discounts of from 30 to 50% off list price. If you are not on our mailing list, and wish to be, please provide us with your mailing address. You can call 1-800-633-1106, and choose menu option 1. Or, you can send a fax to 1-212-682-6192. With every other sale bulletin, you will also be sent a new catalog. The Willner Catalog is now being published twice a year.
In between the four sales previously mentioned, we run "between-sale-sales". No flier is mailed. You have to either check our web site or stop by any one of the three Willner Chemists stores.
Payment Methods
You may use a charge card (VISA, MasterCard, American Express or Discover/NOVUS). Or, you can send payment with your order (check or money order). We will not charge your card until the order is shipped.
Returns
Merchandise may be returned only if in resalable condition, within 30 days of purchase, with a copy of your receipt. Perishable products (refrigerated items) are not returnable; books are not returnable.
Shipping Methods
To keep shipping charges as low as possible, we recommend you choose "Best Way" when selecting the shipping method from the pull-down menu. This provides the flexibility to allow us to offer the lowest rate. We will choose between UPS or USPostalService depending on your location, package size, etc. This ground service can take from one to six days, depending on your distance from New York. The "flat-rate" charge for this "Best Way" service is explained below.
If you prefer you can specify the type of ground service, UPS or USPS, but this may result in a higher charge. You can also specify Air Shipment--Next Day, 2nd Day or 3-Day. Again, there will be an additional charge. We will contact you, by telephone or email, to provide the actual charge if you designate one of these shipping methods. Or, you may want to phone, fax or email your order for immediate service.
Shipping/Handling
There is a flat $5.95-$7.95 shipping handling charge, depending on location:
If package sent to: MN, IA, MO, AR, LA, MS, IN, IL, KY, TN, WI, MI, OH, AL, FL, GA, SC, NC, VA, WV, charge is $6.95. If package sent to ND, SD, NE, KS, OK, TX, NM, CO, WY, MT, ID, UT, AZ, CA, NV, OR, WA, charge is $7.95. If sent to MD, NJ, NY, CT, RI, NH, VT, ME, DC, DE, PA, MA charge is $5.95. (Note: Alaska & Hawaii ship by U.S. Postal Service only, at a rate of $8.95)
There will be an extra charge for shipping liquids over 8 oz and large powder products over 18 ounces. Inquire when ordering.
"Free Shipping" is available only on orders placed on the web site, with a product sub-total of at least $75, using "Best Way" shipping option. Usual restrictions (see above) apply.
In a hurry?
Call our toll free number (1-800-633-1106) and place the order over the telephone. Use the web site to prepare your order, and print out a copy, without hitting the "Submit" button, to make placing your order over the telephone fast and easy.
International Orders
Note: Because certain countries have import restrictions, and because shipping charges have to be calculated, we cannot process international orders on-line. You can obtain product information and prices here, and you can either phone or email your order. Email to custserv@willner.com.
Hours
Willner Chemists Order Department is open from 9 am to 7 pm, Monday through Friday, and from 9 am to 5 pm on Saturday. We are closed on Sunday. Times are Eastern (New York) To call in your order: 1-800-633-1106
The phones are busiest first thing in the morning, and from 12 to 2. To avoid waiting, try to call at other times if possible.
